Parakeet is Amsterdam's first nachobar where we focus on two things: really great nacho platters and really great cocktails. Everything on our menu is made in-house using only fresh ingredients - from our chips that we fry every morning from locally made corn tortillas, to the slow roasted meats in our nacho platters, to the freshly squeezed juice and homemade syrups in our cocktails - we make everything from scratch.
We need a daytime prep cook to prepare the items that go into our nachos, someone who can be taught to make our 9-hour chili, spiced cauliflower, red salsa, avocado purée, etc. Someone who loves to work in a small team and who is cheerful, responsible & honest..
We will teach you all our kitchen secrets and you will then make sure everything is set up for evening dinner service by 17:00, wednesday to sunday will be the days you should be able to work, usually between 12:00 and 17:00 in the afternoon.
Proficiency in English is a must, Dutch and French a pre.
